Privacy Policy for HydroTally

This Privacy Policy explains how HydroTally collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the HydroTally mobile application and its widget.

1. Who operates HydroTally

2. What information the app processes

2.1 Information you enter in the app

HydroTally processes information that you choose to enter or generate while using the app, including:

• hydration logs, such as date, time, amount, beverage type, and container preset
• daily goal settings and measurement preferences
• reminder preferences
• quick log preferences, preset selections, and language selection

2.2 Information stored locally on your device

HydroTally stores most app data locally on your device. This includes:

• your hydration history
• app settings
• current quick-log context
• local premium status used by the app UI

2.3 Widget and shared app data

If you use the HydroTally widget, the app stores a limited hydration snapshot in an App Group container shared between the app and the widget so the widget can display current progress.

2.4 Notifications

If you enable reminders, HydroTally requests permission to send local notifications. Reminder schedules are created on your device. HydroTally does not use a remote push notification server for reminders in the current app setup.

2.5 Purchases

HydroTally offers a paid option to remove banner ads. In-app purchase handling may involve:

• Apple App Store payment and receipt systems
• RevenueCat, which is used to manage purchase state and restoration when configured

HydroTally itself does not process your payment card details. Payment information is handled by Apple.

2.6 Advertising

The free version of HydroTally displays banner ads using Google AdMob. Google may collect or receive information related to ad delivery, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and measurement, which may include:

• device and app identifiers
• IP address or network-derived information
• app interaction and ad interaction information
• basic diagnostic information

2.7 Information HydroTally does not currently request from you

Based on the current app implementation, HydroTally does not request or intentionally collect:

• account registration data
• precise location
• contacts
• photos
• camera data
• microphone data
• HealthKit data

3. How HydroTally uses information

HydroTally uses information to:

• display hydration progress and history
• power the app widget
• schedule local reminders
• support premium purchase restoration
• show banner ads in the free version
• maintain app functionality, preferences, and language settings

HydroTally is a utility app and is not intended to provide medical advice.

4. Legal bases for EEA and UK users

If you are in the EEA or the UK, HydroTally generally relies on one or more of the following legal bases:

• performance of a contract, to provide the app features you request
• legitimate interests, to operate, secure, and improve the app
• consent, where required for certain notifications, ad-related processing, or similar optional features

5. Sharing of information

HydroTally may share information with service providers only to the extent needed to operate the app:

• Apple, for App Store purchases and related platform services
• RevenueCat, for purchase management and restore flows when configured
• Google AdMob, for advertising services in the free version

HydroTally does not currently include a user account backend or cloud sync service for hydration history.

6. Data retention

HydroTally generally keeps app data on your device until:

• you delete the data in the app
• you uninstall the app
• the data is replaced by newer local app data

Third-party providers such as Apple, RevenueCat, and Google may retain data under their own retention policies.

7. Your choices

You can:

• edit or delete hydration entries in the app, where those controls are available
• turn reminders on or off
• purchase the premium version to remove banner ads
• restore eligible purchases through the app
• uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data from your device

8. Privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights including the right to:

• know what personal information is processed
• request access to personal information
• request correction or deletion
• object to certain processing
• withdraw consent where processing depends on consent
• request portability where applicable

9. International data transfers

If Apple, RevenueCat, or Google process information outside your country, those transfers are governed by their own contractual and legal safeguards.

10. Children’s privacy

HydroTally is not directed to children under 13, and Ihar Pronka does not intend to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
