This Privacy Policy explains how AI Gossip Machine ("the App", "we", "us"), operated by Pronka Ihar, handles information when you use the App on iOS or Android.

AI Gossip Machine is an entertainment app. You type a short, fictional sentence and the App shows how a made-up "rumor" gets comically exaggerated as it passes between fictional characters, ending in a tabloid-style headline. It is intended for creating fictional content, not statements about real people.

1. Summary (the short version)

• No account, no login. We do not ask for your name, email, or password.
• We assign a random anonymous ID to your device for service permissions, safety reports and support. It is not linked to your real identity.
• Your gossip history is stored on your device, not on our servers.
• After you grant the in-app AI permission, the text you enter is sent to our Firebase backend and OpenAI to generate the gossip. Do not enter personal information — the App is for fictional content.
• The public leaderboard and in-app public posting are disabled in this release. A result stays local unless you deliberately use your device's system share function.
• The App is monetized with ads (Google AdMob), including optional personalized ads only with your consent.
• We do not sell your personal data.

2. Information we process

2.1 Information you provide

• Rumor text. The short sentence you type (max ~80–120 characters). It is sent to our backend to generate the gossip evolution. The App actively discourages and filters obvious personal data (emails, phone numbers, etc.), but you are responsible for keeping your input fictional.
• Reports. If you report generated content, we store the selected reason, a content snapshot, the target identifier and your anonymous device ID so we can investigate and improve moderation.

2.2 Information created automatically

• Anonymous device ID. A random identifier (e.g. anon_xxx) generated and stored on your device. Used for service permissions, safety reports and support without identifying you.
• Local app data (stays on your device). Your gossip history (last 20), favorites, chosen language, animation preference, and daily token/counter state, stored via on-device storage (AsyncStorage).
• Analytics events. Aggregate usage events (e.g. "generation started", "result shared", "ad displayed"). Analytics are stripped of your rumor text, headlines and summaries before being recorded.
• Advertising identifiers & data. When ads are enabled, our ad provider (Google AdMob) may access device advertising identifiers (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA) and technical data to serve and measure ads. See §5.

2.3 Information we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, or health data.
• We do not require sign-in and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

• generate the gossip evolution from your input;
• keep your history and preferences on your device;
• understand aggregate usage and improve the App;
• show ads and, where you consent, personalize them;
• enforce content safety and prevent abuse.

Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR, where applicable): performance of the service you request (generating gossip); our legitimate interests (app functionality, security, moderation and limited aggregate analytics); and your consent or permission where required for sharing data with third-party AI, personalized advertising and, on iOS, tracking.

4. AI processing of your input

Before the first AI generation, the App presents a clear disclosure and asks permission to send your input text, chosen style and language to our backend and OpenAI. You may decline or later revoke this permission in Profile → AI processing. No new prompt is sent to OpenAI after revocation unless you grant permission again. Depending on configuration, the backend either:

• generates the result locally (a built-in template generator), or
• sends the text to a third-party large language model provider (OpenAI) for processing.

OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default unless the API customer opts in. OpenAI abuse-monitoring logs may contain prompts and responses and are normally retained for up to 30 days, unless longer retention is legally required or different approved data controls apply.

When a real, identifiable person appears in input, the system is instructed to convert them into a fictional, unnamed character or to reject the request. Please do not submit real personal data or claims about real people.

5. Advertising

The App is supported by ads served through Google AdMob.

• Consent (EEA / UK / Switzerland). Before showing personalized ads we present a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). If you do not consent, you will receive non-personalized ads instead.
• iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT). On iOS we ask for permission before accessing the advertising identifier (IDFA). You can decline.
• Rewarded ads. You may optionally watch a rewarded ad to earn an extra token to create another gossip. Watching is always your choice.
• You can change your ad/privacy choices anytime via Profile → Privacy & ad settings, and in your device settings.

Google's handling of ad data is governed by Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

6. Sharing and disclosure

We share information only with:

• Service providers / processors that run the App's infrastructure and features: Google Firebase (backend hosting), Google AdMob (advertising), and, when enabled, OpenAI (AI text generation).
• Legal/safety, if required by law or to protect users and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data location and retention

• Backend services are hosted in europe-west1 (EU) by Google. Depending on the AI provider, text may be processed on servers in other countries (e.g. the United States). Where required, appropriate transfer safeguards apply.
• On-device data (history, preferences) remains until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App.
• Moderation reports are retained while necessary to investigate abuse, enforce our rules, document actions and comply with legal obligations.
• Terms acceptance records contain the accepted version and timestamps so we can demonstrate which rules applied.
• AI permission records contain the anonymous identifier, disclosure version and timestamps so we can demonstrate the permission shown before processing.
• Analytics are retained in aggregate for a limited period.

8. Your choices and rights

• Delete local data: remove individual gossips in History, or uninstall the App to clear all on-device data.
• Ad personalization: manage via Profile → Privacy & ad settings, the UMP form, and device settings.
• AI processing: revoke the OpenAI data-sharing permission via Profile → AI processing. Revocation applies to future generations.
• Generated content: use the in-app report action if an AI result is unsafe or inappropriate.
• Privacy rights (GDPR/CCPA and similar): you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object or withdraw consent. To exercise them, contact us at oknorpcorp@gmail.com. Because the App is largely anonymous, we may need the anonymous device ID to locate permission or safety-report records associated with your device.

9. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country; 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us at oknorpcorp@gmail.com and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
