FileShift is a mobile application for offline file conversion on your device.

2. What Data We Process
Depending on how you use the app, we may process:
- Files you select for conversion and files generated by the app, stored locally on your device.
- Local app data such as conversion history, settings, consent choices, and app preferences.
- Advertising and consent-related data, including ad identifiers and consent signals where applicable.
- Purchase and subscription status through RevenueCat and store providers.
- Technical and diagnostic data such as app version, device type, crash data, and service logs.
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Why We Process Data
We process data to:
- provide file conversion features;
- store converted files and local history on your device;
- manage ads and subscription entitlements;
- maintain reliability, security, and abuse prevention;
- comply with legal obligations and respond to privacy requests.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- contract, to provide requested file conversion functionality;
- consent, for ads, privacy choices, and optional analytics where required;
- legitimate interests, for security, abuse prevention, and service reliability;
- legal obligations, where we must comply with law or regulatory requests.
5. Third-Party Services
The app may use third-party providers, including:
- Google AdMob
- Google Firebase
- RevenueCat
- Apple App Store / Google Play billing providers
These providers may process data under their own privacy policies.
6. Storage and Retention
Selected files, converted files, and conversion history are stored locally on your device until you delete them or use the in-app deletion tools.
Third-party providers may retain operational logs, ad records, purchase metadata, and diagnostics according to their own retention policies.
7. International Transfers
Third-party providers may process data in countries other than your own, including countries with different data protection laws.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
9. Children’s Privacy
FileShift is not directed to children below the age required by local law without parental or guardian consent.
10. Data Deletion
You can remove local app data directly in the app using the data deletion tools, or by uninstalling the app.
